Last week we gave you a detailed look at the Night City Brawl — our core weekly play program. Now, let’s turn things up a notch with a full introduction to Night City Showdowns.
What is a Night City Showdown?
Night City Showdowns are competitive tournaments that any approved Organized Play store can apply to host. At Night City Showdowns, players compete against local Rivals for some exclusive and highly sought-after prizing.
They’re your chance to put your mark on your local store, and show that it’s your turf. But be warned, there will be no shortage of contenders looking to claim the crown at the next Showdown event.
Night City Showdowns are constructed format best-of-three tournaments. Unlike Brawls, these tournaments are split into two segments — Swiss rounds, and a top cut playoff (based on attendance). During Swiss rounds, you’ll be paired against a series of opponents, and earn points for every match you win. Once those rounds conclude, the players with the highest points will play further single elimination rounds to determine a Showdown Champion.
What prizes are on offer at Night City Showdowns?
At Night City Showdowns, players can earn two different promo cards, in a range of different treatments. The two cards that you’ll find promo variants of at Welcome to Night City Showdowns are Sandevistan and Adam Smasher: Metal Over Meat.
As you’ll see in the images below, we’ve created some pretty incredible alternative art for these. The versions of each that you take home will depend on your tournament performance.
Here’s a full prizing breakdown based on the contents of our Night City Showdown kits:
- Participation prize (32 provided per event): Non-foil alt-art Sandevistan
- Top 8: Foil alt-art Adam Smasher: Metal Over Meat
- Top 4: Foil alt-art Sandevistan
- Winner: Showdown Champion Stamped foil alt-art Adam Smasher: Metal Over Meat

The winner will also take home a foil-stamped playmat featuring the Showdown-exclusive art of Adam Smasher: Metal Over Meat, with an iconic Cyberpunk yellow trim.

Each Showdown kit also contains 4 Judge-stamped versions of our Sandevistan promo, to be provided as a reward for Judges and tournament support staff who give their time to help run these events. Details about the Cyberpunk TCG Judge program, including how to qualify as a Judge, will be released ahead of our first Night City Showdown Window.

Where and when can I play in a Night City Showdown?
During the Welcome to Night City set cycle, Night City Showdowns can be scheduled by stores between November 13 and December 6, and a second window early next year (details to be confirmed in 2027). Every approved Organized Play store can host one of these events per window, as long as they have applied to do so. Retailers have been emailed directly with instructions on how to apply to receive a Night City Showdown kit, but check with your LGS to make sure they’ve applied.
To find an approved Organized Play Store near you, check out our Store Locator, and to find scheduled events in your area, take a look at our Event Finder.
See you at a Showdown soon, chooms!
